WALTON COUNTY — A mobile home storing what the owner called "junk" was a total loss Thursday evening.
The fire started around 8 p.m. on North 1st Street with flames reaching as high as 30 feet, according to Argyle Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jonathan Day.
The single-wide mobile home had no electricity and was being just for storage. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal.
Day said damages were estimated at around $1,000.
DeFuniak Springs Fire, Walton County Fire Rescue and Liberty Volunteer Fire responded to the scene.
